Our Environment

With consideration and care

Unceasing endeavors are essential to enhance the management of our limited resources. An even more effective approach is employing materials that can undergo repeated recycling and reuse. Hence, we exercise meticulous and economical use of the necessary raw materials, often incorporating secondary resources (recycled materials).

Consequently, we establish rigorous benchmarks for our operations. Our aspiration is to achieve daily enhancement. Within our environmental policy, we are dedicated to adhering to legal norms and fostering ongoing improvement.

Decarbonisation
Every action yields an impact, and in ecological terms, this impact can be quantified by the CO2 footprint. Initially, we center our attention on our direct emissions, encompassing factors like fuel consumption in our corporate vehicles (Scope 1), as well as indirect emissions stemming from purchased electricity or air conditioning (Scope 2). Moreover, we incorporate specific facets of indirect emissions throughout the value chain (Scope 3).

Nonetheless, this constitutes just the initial stride! We are consistently refining the eco-friendly design of sectors where we identify the most substantial room for enhancement.

Local sourcing
The concept of "local" denotes something indigenous, something tied to a particular region. Nevertheless, this term cannot be confined to a precise distance. In our interlinked world, characterized by global supply networks, the significance of regional provenance is resurging. It presents diverse benefits, including the utilization of local labor and the facilitation of brief transportation routes.

For this we are working e.g. even with wooden raw materials made in the UAE. Steel Wood Density Board (SDB) by definition is an environmental-friendly composite-wood material, that is made up of 100% post-consumer recycled random mix wood species (including SDB waste panels (excluding for MDF). Trees are not to be cut to manufacture SDB as the “raw material” upcycles 100% unusable wood residues and waste wood from the local market.

Sustainable forestry
Procuring and processing wood in accordance with established criteria such as FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes) signifies our commitment to ensuring enduring forestry practices and upholding social benchmarks.
