International standards as a local benchmark
The satisfaction of our customers and stakeholders is important to us. That's why our operation in the Middle East is working to the International Standard ISO 9001:2015 and it sets out the criteria for our quality management system. It is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement.
Not only climate change, but also the new legal requirements increase the expectations of corporate environmental management. The Store Makers in the Middle East are taking this into account by having gone through the certification process according to the environmental standard ISO 14001:2015 as well. This is the best proof that the company makes successful stores by a responsible use of natural resources.
Furthermore, we have also implemented ISO 45001:2018, which specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system, and gives guidance for its use, to enable us to provide safe and healthy workplaces by preventing work-related injury and ill health, as well as by proactively improving its OH&S performance.

FSC & PEFC Certificates
Whenever feasible, Store Makers - Middle East source and work with certified wood panels and timber materials. In such instances, we guarantee that the materials hold FSC or PEFC certification. These credentials validate the wood's origin from sustainably managed forests.
Furthermore, we foster close collaborations with local raw material manufacturers in the Middle East, advocating for their utilization. This approach not only enhances local value creation but also contributes to a reduced Carbon Footprint by significantly minimizing the necessity for inbound logistics from overseas.
For this we are working e.g. even with wooden raw materials made in the UAE. Steel Wood Density Board (SDB) by definition is an environmental-friendly composite-wood material, that is made up of 100% post-consumer recycled random mix wood species (including SDB waste panels (excluding for MDF). Trees are not to be cut to manufacture SDB as the “raw material” upcycles 100% unusable wood residues and waste wood from the local market.
Hence, our collective efforts are directed toward the objective of delivering top-tier, sustainable products to our customers.
